Sunny Seed Stories |
How can we eat Sunny Seeds? Let us count the ways. |

As you can see, they don’t really half well.

So maybe I’ll leave the scanning to Scandybars and Scandwiches.

Not gonna lie, it’s pretty cool to see interviews you did turn into publications!
So I thought I’d share some of Sunny Seeds’ latest mentions.

What are you proud of today?
Another exciting guest post! This one comes from Shana at Food of My Affection, who will actually be submitting two posts! (Look for post #2 soon!) Shana is the best storyteller—I always love reading about her adventures in food and life—so I am so pumped to have her share a couple stories with us here.
A few months ago, Lisa made a request that I just couldn’t ignore.

I needed free sunflower seeds.
Behold the creation of Sunbutter Crunch Balls.

It is a combination of creamy sunbutter, crunchy granola, honey, and Sunny Seeds that are studded throughout like little Christmas presents hidden under the tree. Delicious Christmas presents that are so good you would punch your unassuming sister in the face just so you could steal her tube. Serves her right for trying to sleep in on Christmas morning.
Prepare a batch of my delicious granola recipe.

Go ahead and give 2 cups of the granola a free ride in the blender.

Pour it into a medium-sized bowl and add 1 cup of sunbutter, half a cup of PB2, and 1 tsp. of honey.

Stir in 1 tube of Sunny Seeds.

Roll into a million (or 50) little balls.

These keep nicely in a ziplock bag in the refrigerator or freezer.
That is, if you don’t eat them all before they actually make it there.

Keep it to four small crunch balls, and you have yourself the perfect 200-calorie snack.
Or make it 8 and call it dinner.
I won’t tell anyone about the four more you’ll have for dessert.

S’more Doughnuts from Lauren’s Latest
Lauren is super, super creative, especially when it comes to dessert making, but I really think she’s outdone herself on this one because it’s both creative and simple. And I really, really want one. Now.

Mini-golfing, of course, makes you ravenous.
Which is why you must promptly find a close restaurant and get seated indoors in the cool A/C.
And be forgotten by your waiter, whose other tables are all outside.
So you, of course, refuse to talk to your husband and instead give the kitchen door the stinkeye.
Until he reminds you that you have Sunny Seeds in your purse. (Duh.)

Life saver.
Well, maybe just an afternoon saver, but still.
