Sunny Seed Stories |
How can we eat Sunny Seeds? Let us count the ways. |

S’more Doughnuts from Lauren’s Latest
Lauren is super, super creative, especially when it comes to dessert making, but I really think she’s outdone herself on this one because it’s both creative and simple. And I really, really want one. Now.

Mini-golfing, of course, makes you ravenous.
Which is why you must promptly find a close restaurant and get seated indoors in the cool A/C.
And be forgotten by your waiter, whose other tables are all outside.
So you, of course, refuse to talk to your husband and instead give the kitchen door the stinkeye.
Until he reminds you that you have Sunny Seeds in your purse. (Duh.)

Life saver.
Well, maybe just an afternoon saver, but still.

Question: Do you carry snacks with you? If so, what?

Remember the last time Sunny Seeds visited a castle?

Well, this one’s not a Disney castle—it’s a mini-golf castle!
Also seen were:

A mini-golf treehouse

A mini-golf mill

And a mini-golf lighthouse.

Sunny Seeds and mini-golf. They look pretty good together, don’t you think?

Ps. My husband now refuses to play mini-golf with me ever again because I am the putt-putt master. Okay, he never said that, but I’m pretty sure he thought it while we were in the middle of our game. ;)
Woo woo—guest post today! This one comes from Emily at A Tasty Life, who always makes the best-looking [usually grilled] meals with her boyfriend Big Guy. (I can’t wait to see what they do in the winter? Winter grilling? George Foreman time?) Emily is also the the creator of The Best Potato Salad Ever, so after you finish here, you should definitely go bookmark that recipe for YOUR next grilling adventure.
Big Guy and I like to grill.

Actually, that’s an understatement. We love to grill.
So much that our grill has a name—BQ.
I decided to take the Sunny Seeds outside and let them get their grill on, so to say.
Simply cut a banana in half—careful not to cut the banana skin on the bottom.

Make a “boat” out of the banana and add in your toppings. Chocolate chips, Sunny Seeds, peanut butter, marshmallows—whatever your heart desires.

Throw it on the grill until melted and then devour with a spoon.
The banana gets extra sweet and the toppings just hit the spot. The Sunny Seeds got a little melty but still had the crunch from the sunflower seeds.

Deeeeelicious.

You remember it.
The very first blog you ever read.
The one that was interesting enough to keep you coming back.
The one that got you into reading blogs in the first place.
And eventually maybe writing one yourself.
I give you:

HEAB :)
I have no idea how I found Heather’s blog (possibly a Google search?), but I am ever grateful to her for introducing me to the great big blogosphere.
I am honored to be a part of it.
