Sunny Seed Stories |
How can we eat Sunny Seeds? Let us count the ways. |
Not gonna lie, it’s pretty cool to see interviews you did turn into publications!
So I thought I’d share some of Sunny Seeds’ latest mentions.

I feel like a proud brand momma!
-SunnySeedLisa
What are you proud of today?
You remember it.
The very first blog you ever read.
The one that was interesting enough to keep you coming back.
The one that got you into reading blogs in the first place.
And eventually maybe writing one yourself.
I give you:

HEAB :)
I have no idea how I found Heather’s blog (possibly a Google search?), but I am ever grateful to her for introducing me to the great big blogosphere.
I am honored to be a part of it.

Your turn: What was your first blog?
As you lovely readers may have noticed, my husband and I have been on the road quite a bit this summer.

So we have basically become pros at keeping ourselves entertained while driving.
Which actually turns out to be a pretty simple formula for us: audiobooks + discussion breaks = a much shorter drive.
And what have we been listening to, you ask? Well, I would love to tell you (I do have a degree in English Lit, after all.)
The Way of Kings by Brandon Sanderson

[source]
This is the first in a ten-book cycle, and let me just say I CANNOT WAIT for the next book. Write, Brandon, write!!
The Warlock by Michael Scott

[source]
This is book 5 of 6, the last one coming out in 2012. Ahhh! Although this book mostly set up what looks to be a very exciting conclusion, Scott kept it action-packed throughout, as usual.
Warbreaker by Brandon Sanderson

[source]
Have I mentioned that Brandon Sanderson is my favorite author? This is not my favorite of his books, but it still does the trick for a long road trip.
And selections from my very favorite book ever:
Lirael by Garth Nix

[source]
Have I mentioned that Garth Nix is my other favorite author? We actually didn’t finish this one because it hadn’t been long enough since the last time we listened to it (it had been a year), and I hadn’t “forgotten” enough of it yet. When you’ve read/listened to this book as much as I have, it’s hard to forget. I think we’ll give it another year.
If you can’t tell, SunnySeedHusband and I are both very into fantasy (although I would say I am probably greater fantasy nerd of the two of us—he actually reads other genres).
-SunnySeedLisa
So what do you do to entertain yourself during long car trips? Anyone have any audiobook recommendations?
Youtube time!
Remember this one from a while ago?
I found another fan video!
Anybody else out there love Sunny Seeds as much as nchi and xXxCloverstarxXx? Share your Sunny Seed love, and I will feature you on the blog. Pictures, videos, songs, and Stories are all welcome. Get more info on the You page.
And after you do that, enjoy a few more of my Youtube favorites.
Mmm is right.
-SunnySeedLisa
So now that you’ve seen mine, what Youtube videos do you have for me?
As I’ve said before, I spend a lot of time thinking about food, especially on the job.
So you’d think that after work I’d choose something else to occupy my time.
Which I do.
But let’s be real here, everybody watches some food-themed TV programming.
And just in case you were wondering, here are my personal favorites:
Man vs. Food

[source]
I really don’t feel that I should have to justify the appeal of vicariously enjoying mounds of luscious food without having to suffer through the inevitable next-day stomach ache.
Diners, Drive-Ins, and Dives

[source]
Again, eating vicariously—and traveling too! Plus, I am a big fan of all the aforementioned types of restaurants. Win-win-win.

…And that’s it. I told you guys I did non-food related things some of the time.
-SunnySeedLisa
